The 2019/20 racing season will be one young Morphettville trainer Will Clarken will always remember thanks to the deeds of his five-year-old Commands mare Bella Vella.
Not only did Bella Vella provide Clarken with his maiden Group 1 success when she claimed the TAB Classic (Robert Sangster Stakes) at Morphettville in May, she also netted him a cool $55,000 bonus for running the fastest time through the 955 Metre Sprint Series at The Valley.
“She had a well-earnt break after the Sangster and is back in work now gearing up for hopefully another good campaign in the spring,” Clarken said.
“With her love for the Moonee Valley circuit, at this stage her program has been mapped around three big races staged there.
