In the last we secured the double, with INVAHIR who had returned in excellent fashion at Walcha last start over the 1000m, hitting the line hard for 2nd.
Today we knew the Invader gelding would appreciate the rise to six furlongs. And he did, doing it in style winning by 0.7L to close off the program on Quirindi Cup Day.
It was a brilliant Wendy Peel ride, sending him forward and rating him perfectly just off the leader, leaving enough energy in the tank for a good sustained burst to complete the stable double.
