A heroic effort from Commando Hunt to storm home and just be denied in a heart wrenching climax to the Country Championships Final at Randwick.
Congratulations to Colvin Racing and all the winning connections of Another One. Although missing the win by such a narrow margin is hard, the 2nd placing still means so much to the team at home.
Commando had left everything on the track in the Qualifier at Tamworth and there was a time when it looked like he might not make today’s final.
Gratitude is owed to all their efforts in his preparation and also to Bridget Bester and the team at Hunter Equine Centre whose care was integral in presenting him healthy, happy and ready to give his best this afternoon.
