Another step forward for able gelding LEICA STORM winning the 1400m Country Boosted Bm58 at Coonamble Jockey Clubthis afternoon.
In a race with a steady tempo set by his game in defeat stablemate Turnaway, Leica Storm was able to travel in the one-out/one-back position and present comfortably on the turn in and fight his way to the line for jockey Nick Heywood.
Despite only having won his Maiden from his previous nine starts, the 4YO Snitzel gelding had shown nice ability in his his five placed attempts and it was only a matter of time until this next win arrived.
He remains a raw prospect with more improvement to come and today’s win will no doubt bring him on further.
