FOXSTORM broke his maiden today in the first race on Gilgandra Cup Day. There was some confidence after a good performance last start when running third at Scone and the son of Foxwedge didn’t let us down holding on for a tough win by a head. Apprentice Reece Jones continues to impress finding a lovely spot and keeping the gelding relax and in rhythm.
The Foxwedge bloodlines proved too strong again in Race 2 as we secured an early double.
This time it was FOX ON THE ROCKS breaking maiden status after a couple great runs this prep when placing but today was her day going home by just over 2L. Jake Pracey-Holmes took full advantage of barrier 2 and rated her beautifully.
